WittKieffer is pleased to a partner with Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Helen DeVos Children's Hospital (HDVCH) in the recruitment for their next President. The organization seeks a dynamic, transformational, mission-orientated leader with a passion for pediatric healthcare.
As part of the Spectrum Health delivery system, HDVCH is a nationally recognized, 234-bed not for profit hospital with more than 300 pediatric physicians who practice in 50 specialties and programs, including a Level IV neonatal center and a Level I pediatric trauma center. It is one of only 220 children’s hospitals in the nation, and in 2009 it achieved Magnet Recognition. HDVCH also provides care close to home in regional clinics and shares its expertise through Partners in Children’s Health: a collaboration with more than 30 hospitals throughout Michigan. HDVCH has garnered national recognition year after year by U.S. News & World Report for its commitment to delivering safe, high-quality specialty care.
Offering a complete range of healthcare services for children, HDVCH celebrated its 25th birthday in 2018 and is one of West Michigan's and the region's most vitally important healthcare providers. Through an academic affiliation to the Michigan State University, about 75 Spectrum Health residents and fellows come from across the country each year to train at the children’s hospital. HDVCH generates annual net patient revenues of approximately $500 million.
The President will be an inspiring, visible and visionary leader who will engage the collective talents and energies of the leadership team, staff and physicians, and in collaboration with Spectrum Health leadership will steer HDVCH forward in an innovative manner. This position will simultaneously serve as the chief for the children’s physicians and providers. The President will foster a "people first" culture and model great people leadership behaviors in conjunction with Spectrum Health's values of Compassion, Curiosity, Courage and Collaboration.
